Her City View

I've been holding a secret, but it's time to it let out. In part because my secret is over 6 feet tall and it's hard to hide him. But also because I'll soon be on a plane to Los Angeles. I have been invited by Disney & ABC to Los Angeles for the Big Hero 6 and ABC TV event!

During my trip I'll be very active on my social media accounts so follow along with the hashtags #BigHero6Event and #ABCTVEvent on my Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. To say that I'm excited is an understatement. I'm SO excited and I have many good reasons to be.

First I'll be walking the red carpet at the BIG HERO 6 premiere and also attend a special press day at Walt Disney Animation Studios where I'll interview the filmmakers! I'll also attend a drawing demonstration with animators and get a chance to voice a character from the film in a recording booth!

Can I just tell you that I'm so loving the BIG HERO 6 characters and story. Yes Baymax, the plus-sized inflatable robot is VERY cool but it's the loving but humorous relationship he has with Hiro that made me a fan of this movie. You can see see some of this in the following trailer

As if that's not awesome enough, I'll also...

.....visit the Walt Disney Studio Lot for special preview screenings of episodes of ABC shows, like the new hit comedy BLACK*ISH. I'm really excited about this show and the chance to see the cast live. The show's theme about maintaining a cultural identity while also "assimilating" into another culture is something that I totally "get". Plus the cast and story lines are super funny.

.....attend a live taping of DANCING WITH THE STARS” at the glamorous ballroom set! Then I'll join in a live tweet up for the West coast airing of the show. I heard a special guest (or two!) might make an appearance. I'll be sure to tweet if they do!

.....watch a “sneak peek” of ABC’s upcoming upcoming musical comedy GALAVANT. The series follows the adventures of Galavant, a dashing hero who is determined to reclaim his reputation and his "Happily Ever After" by going after the evil King Richard (Timothy Omundson (Psych), who ruined it the moment he stole the love of Galavant's life, Madalena. The episodes will chronicle Galavant's journeys (and the twists and turns that go along with it) through musical numbers composed and written by Menken and Slater.

.....meet and interview Hayley Atwell, who plays AGENT CARTER in Marvel’s new action-packed series debuting in January 2015 during the season two mid-season break of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. My group will also interview the Executive Producers Tara Butters and Michele Fazekas, touring the set and other super exciting Marvel/S.H.I.E.L.D. world stuff!

As you can see it's going to be a busy but fun filled couple days while I'm in LA. I'll try not to miss anything, so I can come back and share it ALL with you. See you in L.A. next week!
