During the event Teri shared how nearly 17 million children in America – almost one in four – struggle with hunger and what you can do to help

Teri also showed us how she made her own pieces of Bread Art.

Teri explained how easy it was to make a Bread Art and then sat down and showed us step by step how to make our own. Teri shared that she's a crafty mom and loves being creative.

The Bread Art Project serves as a digital fundraising mechanism for Share Our Strength’s efforts to end childhood hunger in America by 2015. What's great about this project is how simple and easy it is for anyone to help reach that goal.

Just visit the Bread Art website to create a personalized piece of bread art – at no cost – by uploading a favorite drawing or photo, or designing a new one using a digital slice of bread as the canvas.

For each piece of approved bread art created from April 1 through June 30, 2011, the Grain Foods Foundation will donate $1 to Share Our Strength. ( *The Grain Foods Foundation will donate $50,000 to Share Our Strength and will make an additional $1 donation for every piece of bread art submitted and approved on breadartproject.com between April 1 and June 30, 2011 (up to a maximum total donation of $100,000).
