Ryan Reynolds Interview Turbo Racing at Today Show
This week I went Rockefeller Plaza for the Turbo 500! There Ryan Reynolds, who plays Turbo in the movie, raced against the Today Show hosts to be the first to get their giant snails (based in Turbo movie characters) up the side of the building!
I was invited as media to this event. Any personal views expressed are always 100% my own.
First let me say that seeing Ryan Reynolds was surreal. One moment the group was waiting for him to come out and then....I looked up and there he was!
Plus if you look closely, you can see me right there behind Ryan! I barely got my camera up in time to take a few photos. But I did get some!
Then it was time for Ryan to Go Turbo and Race! It was very fun to see the giant snails going up the side of the building.
The race itself was pretty close, but in the end Ryan was able to snail ahead, win the race and earned his flowers and congratulations from the Today Show hosts, Indy 500 Winners and IndyCar Champions.
As if that wasn't enough fun for the morning, a little while later I joined the private meet and greet for the interviews.
Ryan Reynolds was a great person to interview. He has a sharp witty but he's also very warm and open. Watch the below video of our interview to hear what Ryan had to say.
A few day after the interview, we saw the Turbo movie and loved it.
The movie had a great message for children (and some adults) about believing in yourself and your dreams. I think it's a great family movie and I hope many families see it.
